For male catheterisation, the simulator enables insertion of a lubricated catheter through the urethral orifice, past the mucosal folds, bulbous urethra, and internal urethral sphincter into the bladder. When correctly positioned, artificial urine (water) flows from the catheter, confirming successful placement.
The female catheterisation simulator features lifelike external genitalia and perineum, with the labia minora spreading naturally to reveal anatomical landmarks. A bladder reservoir and urethral valve replicate the normal resistance and pressure felt during catheterisation. Artificial urine flows when the catheter enters the bladder, enhancing realism.
Available as male only, female only, or combined male and female models, this trainer is ideal for nursing education, clinical skills training, and patient care courses.
