Featuring 14 realistic surgical wounds, including a mid-sternal split with simulated drains, a sacral decubitus ulcer (Stage 2), and a leg amputation stump, this simulator provides an authentic platform for hands-on practice.
The skin has been reformulated for a drier texture, allowing bandages to adhere more effectively. Wound closures include surgical staples for procedures such as mid-sternal split, thoracotomy, nephrectomy, laparotomy, abdominal hysterectomy, and amputation stump. Staples and sutures are fixed and cannot be removed. Constructed from special vinyl formulations, the flexible, flesh-coloured skin responds realistically to adhesives and all types of bandaging procedures.
