The Suture and Stapling Practice Arm and Leg are designed to provide a lifelike experience for practising suturing and stapling techniques. Each model features a soft vinyl skin over a core of stitchable foam, replicating the realistic feel of human tissue for both students and instructors during demonstrations.
The skin texture includes wrinkles, pores, and visible fingerprints, offering an authentic tactile experience. It is soft and pliable for easy sewing, yet durable enough to ensure sutures remain secure when tightened.
Each unit comes with three pre-cut “wounds”, which can be sutured repeatedly. When the surrounding skin becomes worn, new wounds can be cut, allowing for extended use. Although disposable, the trainer provides hundreds of suturing opportunities, with over 100 cuts possible, and each cut can be sutured multiple times.
